I remember always wanting to see this movie on screen as a child, and when I finally got the chance to see it, I enjoyed every moment of it from start to finish! Before I actually saw the movie, I remember one of my teachers reading the book to my entire class, and I just enjoyed listening into the story. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone just brings back the most memories out of all the Harry Potter movies.
The great thing about this movie was how all of the characters were introduced, and that was important because the characters will further develop later into this movie, as well into the movies that followed.
The story or plot was very good and interesting to follow. It was important that the first movie starts on a good note otherwise the following movies would just struggle, and this is what the Philosopher's Stone did.
Whether this one is the best movie or not is debatable, but one thing for sure is that it does remain a favourite for many Harry Potter fans: it certainly is my favourite.

My childhood was never actually complete without Harry Potter. LIKE IF YOU HAD A CHILDHOOD CRUSH ON DAN RADCLIFFE. After all the expectations how great the movie would be and how much money it would produce (as if this is the most important thing about a movie) I was very disappointed. The plot has holes and the story line switches for no reason here and there. The characters are not convincing and the relations are almost non-existing. And it's boring quite a good deal of the time. But there are virtues too - very beautiful pictures, nice visual effects and interesting and original events. And I guess for kids it's fun from time to time. The acting is also good and the young people are really nice. But anyway this movie was far from being what it was supposed to be - one of the greatest fairy tales ever filmed. Far from classic kids' fairy tales such as Neverending Story or Star Wars (episodes 4-6. So Can Watch It, But Not Very Good - 6/10.

First dialogue came to my mind whenever I hear this song is You're a wizard harry. Bruh I bought it with my hard earned cash and I cant even use it. What would have happened if he never ran into the Weasley's at the train station I wonder. I mean it is safe to assume the weasley's were the only other magical people there at the time. Hagrid should have really explained Platform 9 3/4 to him first. Voldemort in this film: And I would've gotten away with it too if it weren't for those meddling kids. It strikes me how much bigger Quirrell's head is (revealed to be when he isn't wearing the turban, even without Voldemort on the back obviously) than it looks (when he is wearing the turban. The whole Voldemort scene gave me nightmares when I was young. It wasn't that Voldemort's face was particularly scary. It was that the whole scene shows off a strong sense of danger.  It's not like the things in the film are going to happen in real life, but that completely ignores the point.
